Valentine’s Day Craft for Babies and Toddlers
This Valentine’s day craft is perfect for creating a keepsake of your children’s handprints. All you need is some paint and a printer!
This craft is something each child in the family can contribute to. I used handprints from both of my boys to make this valentine’s day craft.
My baby will have his very first valentine’s day this year, this handprint craft is something I will save for the rest of my life because it shows just how little he is this year.
His big brother is only two years old, so having their handprints right next to each other is so sweet. I love to create as many decorations with their tiny handprints as I can.

Directions
1. Print the free Our Little Valentine’s printable. Sign up for it to be emailed to you, you will receive different size options. Print the one that’s right for you! I printed mine as an 8.5×11 to keep it simple.
2. Paint your child’s hand. Make sure to get paint all the way to the fingertips and all over the palm so it leaves a good print on your paper.
3. Firmly press your child’s hand onto the paper. If they move, the paint will smear, so encourage them to hold still.

4. Lift the hand straight up and off of the paper.
5. Allow to dry, then repeat steps 2-4 with the next child.
6. Finally, allow everything to dry, and enjoy your completed valentine’s day craft.
Tips
-Use tempera paint because it is washable and safe for kids. Whenever my kids get it on their clothes, I just throw it in the wash and it comes right out. It also washes off of their skin easily too.
-Print multiple copies, you’ll probably need to do more than one before you get it just right.
