The doormats in the photos are ones my friends and I made for girls night. The great thing about these doormats is that they are so easy to make that you get to spend quality time catching up with the people you are making them with instead of stressing about the project.

Supplies
-Optional: stencils, stamps, sealant
Directions:
1. Outline your design in chalk. You may need to go over the same spot multiple times to make the lines visible.
2. Add a generous amount of paint to the tip of your sponge. Begin going over your design by dabbing the paint on your chalk lines. Make sure to use lots of paint and go over everything more than once so it really shows up on the doormat.
3. Continue to add paint to the mat until you love how it looks. The possibilities are endless!
4. Optional: Use a sealant over the mat when you are finished to preserve the design.
Tips and Tricks
*You are going to need a lot of paint! I used a whole tube of white acrylic paint just to do the white snowflakes on my doormat.
*You have to really press the sponge into the mat to get the paint to show up and stay on your design.
I can’t wait to hear how yours turns out! Let me know in the comments.
