Baby’s first Christmas handprint craft.
This Christmas handprint craft for your baby’s first Christmas is something you will always treasure. My toddler is only two this year and I am just shocked to see how much he’s grown since we made his handprint as a baby on his first Christmas.
Now that I have a second baby, I knew this was something I had to do with him too.
My 6 month old’s tiny little handprint in a frame is exactly what I need. I want to always remember just how small he was at his first Christmas.
I made multiple of these to give to family members as gifts for Christmas this year. The grandmas are going to love it!

Supplies:
-Printed My First Christmas printable (best on cardstock paper)
-Green or red tempera paint
-Paint brush
-Scissors
Directions:
1. Print the My First Christmas printable in either green, red, or both. Printing on cardstock paper works best so it is sturdier and the paint doesn’t go through the paper.
2. Paint your baby’s hand or foot. Make sure to get all the way to the fingertips and cover the whole palm.
3. Press the hand below the bow on the paper. Make sure to press each of the fingers down so you get a good print.
4. Touch up the print using a paint brush or your finger. Be careful when doing this so you don’t make it obvious that you touched it up.
5. Allow to dry overnight.
6. Once the paper is fully dry, cut along the line to cut out the artwork.
7. Frame your craft in a 5×7 and display it or give it as a gift.

Tips and Tricks
-Make sure to use tempera paint because it can wash off easily and is safe for kids.
-Print multiple copies before starting the craft. It’s very likely you’ll need to try a couple times before you get the perfect handprint or footprint.
