- Printed My First Christmas printable (best printed on cardstock)
- Green or red tempera paint
- Paint brush or sponge
- Scissors
Print the My First Christmas printable in either green, red, or both. Printing on cardstock paper works best so it is sturdier and the paint doesn’t go through the paper.
Paint your baby’s hand or foot. Make sure to get all the way to the fingertips and cover the whole palm.
Press the hand below the bow on the paper. Make sure to press each of the fingers down so you get a good print.
Touch up the print using a paint brush or your finger. Be careful when doing this so you don’t make it obvious that you touched it up.
Allow to dry overnight.
Once the paper is fully dry, cut along the line to cut out the artwork.
Frame your craft in a 5×7 and display it or give it as a gift.
-Make sure to use tempera paint because it can wash off easily and is safe for kids.
-Print multiple copies before starting the craft. It’s very likely you’ll need to try a couple times before you get the perfect handprint or footprint.
